How much does Sownote cost?

Sownote is free, with no ads and no in-app tracking.

Do I need an account?

No. Open the app and start writing. If you want sync, Sownote uses the iCloud account already on your iPhone or iPad, or your Google account on Android.

Can I sync between an iPhone and an Android phone?

Not live: iPhones sync through iCloud and Android phones through Google Drive. To move between them, use Settings → Move to a new phone.

What happens if I lose my phone?

If sync is on, your notes are waiting in your iCloud or Google Drive. Install Sownote on your new device, turn sync on and they come back. Without sync, a recent backup ZIP has you covered.

Does the app lock encrypt my notes?

The app lock keeps Sownote behind a PIN, fingerprint or face. Your notes are protected at rest by your device's own encryption, so keep a screen lock on your phone too.
